My name is Wendy and I am a certified Reflexologist and ITEC qualified holistic practitioner. Until December 2023, I have been based in Malaga, Spain for 18 years - and delighted to announce that I have recently moved back to Aberdeen, Scotland. I have a background in Social Work and Counselling and have been a yoga enthusiast for over 30 years. I spent six years in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where I discovered my passion for holistic therapies returning to Spain in 2016 to complete my Diploma in Reflexology, an Indian Head Massage Diploma and Holistic Massage with Naturaclass Formación, Fuengirola. Since then, I have completed an Advanced Facial Reflexology Diploma, an Advanced Pathology Diploma, become a Menopause Practitioner with Reflexology Treatment, and will complete Reflexology for Oncology in 2024.
I continually see noticeable and remarkable changes in my clients' health and wellbeing, which has been the most rewarding experience so far. The benefits of regular treatments are always significant. Deep relaxation is just one of the most common benefits – which saw substantial improvements in my clients' stress levels; stress is a recurring factor in most diseases and disorders, and relaxation is key to improving health and preventing illness.
One client who believed he had IBS began to understand how stress affects the digestive system. Over his course of reflexology treatments, he made small life changes; his health, home life and work improved enormously just by taking some time for relaxation. Another client who had regular reflexology sessions towards the end of her pregnancy and during labour, managed her stress and anxiety about the birth. Reflexology was amazingly soothing and relaxing for an 8 year old client who was restless, having trouble concentrating and falling asleep. Reflexology is for everyone!
Enhance treatments by implementing some of the aftercare suggestions I recommend; small lifestyle changes such as; stretching, walking, hand reflexology at home, drinking more water can make the outcome quite impressive. Some examples of improvements include weight loss, clearer skin, reduced pain, better digestion, relief from menopausal symptoms, fertility issues, insomnia and managing stress and fatigue to name a few.
Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or to book an appointment!
Reflexology is a wonderful way of maintaining your body's healthy balance and general wellbeing, reducing the stresses and tensions that come with busy lifestyles and giving us a space to reflect on the mind as well as the body.
Reflexology can induce a deep state of relaxation, which improves the effectiveness of the treatment. Relaxing helps relieve tension and aids circulation, increasing the flow of nutrients, oxygen and energy to all parts of the body, and helping with the removal of toxins.
While it is not a cure, Reflexology can be particularly helpful in managing many health conditions, especially constant or recurring ones that we might have come to accept over time as being a normal part of life.
